Once again, the Telus TAIWANfest is back at the Harbourfront Centre. It’s three days of celebrating everything that is “Taiwan”. This year’s event takes place Friday, August 27 through Sunday, August 29, 2010.
Admission is FREE. Here are some of the highlights:
- Taiwanese films – E Sha Age
- Performances – Rom Shing Hakka Opera, The Rise of Indie Nation, Viva Tonal, the Dance Age, Treasure Our Mother Nature
- Cooking: Food Fare – Crossover kitchen (featuring signature Taiwanese dishes with local ingredients)
- Crafts for the kids – Paper bag hand puppets, Taiwanese traditional lantern making
- Special this year – Remembering Teresa Teng Singing contest at the Redpath Stage on August 29 at 3:30 p.m.
