So, grab those fishing rods and head out to the following places for an afternoon of fishing. And it’s all FREE, thanks to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

  • Urban Fishing Festival – Grenadier Pond, High Park. Saturday, July 10 (10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.)
  • Urban Fishing Festival – Toogood Pond (Unionville). Saturday, July 10 (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
  • Urban Fishing Festival – Toronto Island. Sunday, July 11 (10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.)
  • Various other locations throughout Ontario. Check website for more locations.

This is the one weekend you can go fishing without a fishing licence. The Fishing Festival is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everything is FREE, even parking and admission to the park.
