Join Central Eglinton Community Centre for their 8th Annual Health & Beauty Day on June 10, 2010. Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Admission is FREE.

Everything will be about “Health and Beauty”, with FREE door prizes*, and FREE displays and demonstrations about massage therapy, meditation, life coaching, hypnosis, chiropractic care, personal fitness, cosmetics, skin care and others. “Pay what you can” Yoga classes will be available at 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Brian Morin of beerbistro has a new cookbook in the stores. And I’m glad because I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about his cooking.

If you’d like to learn a dish or two from him, you’ll have to come … and watch him in action.

On Saturday June 20, 2009, Brian will be giving two FREE demonstrations (2 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.) in the Prairie Ink Restaurant at McNally Robinson Booksellers. He’ll prepare and serve up mussels and talk about how to choose the right beer to go with foods.
