Today is the opening night of the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival. If you don’t have a ticket to the shows, you can still enjoy the grandeur of the event with FREE activities at Yonge Dundas Square. With over 500 Filmmakers and some of the biggest stars in Hollywood attending the festival, you might be able to catch a glimpse of them as they spend time doing hanging around the streets of Toronto. Some of the stars include: Michael Douglas, Neil Diamond, Natalie Portman, Penelope Cruz, George Clooney, Anne Hathaway, Antonio Banderas, Brad Pitt, Colin Farell, Colin Firth, Jennifer Aniston, and lots of other great actors.

- 12 p.m. – TIFF Live in Concert Film Series, Leonard Cohen tribute: I’m Your Man.
- 3 p.m. – TIFF Shhh Silent Film Series, Steamboat Bill Jr.
- 7 p.m. – Live satellite view from the Roy Thomson Hall red carpet for the Opening Night Gala Presentation
- 9 p.m. – Open Night Concert by DJ Champion. Hosted by Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman
