It’s East meets West.
The 7th Annual Taste of Asia Festival is this Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28, 2009. This is Canada’s largest Asian Street Festival held every year at Kennedy Rd. and Steeles Ave. Admission is FREE.
To accommodate the expected 70,000 visitors, Kennedy Ave. from Steeles Ave. to Denison St. will be closed to traffic. With so many things to see and do, you might have to come on both days. One thing’s for sure, there’s going to be plenty of good food. So come with an empty stomach.
This year’s line up of activities include:
- Over 120 Asian Food booths
- Over 100 Basketball Teams that will participate in one of the largest street basketball tournaments in Canada.
- 3 stages with entertainment from surprise Asian Stars.
- A noodle eating competition.
- Free Raffles, Tour Packages and Prizes.
- International car show contest.
