Free Admission, 22nd Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival

Mark your calendars for the 22nd Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival. Date: July 16 to 25, 2010. Come and enjoy great music in various locations throughout the Beaches. Admission is FREE.

Three locations.

  • WOODBINE PARK. July 16 to 18. Performances at 3 Stages – TD Canada Trust Main Stage, New Generation Stage, Youth Stage. Check the schedule for times of performances. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and bottle of sunscreen. Performers include: Sophie Berkal-Sarbit, Digging Roots, Jay Douglas & The All-Stars featuring Rusty, 5 After 4, MENEW, CaneFire,m Jorge Martinez, Nomadic Massive, Glenda de Monte-Escalante, The Mike Butlin Band, Prince of Wales School Jazz Band, Humber Community Music School Jr. Combos, and many others.
  • STREETFEST. July 22 to 25, 2010. Check the schedule for times and locations. Performers include: Dr. Draw, Ninja Funk Orchestra, Seagull All-Stars, God Made Me Funky, Downtown Dixieland Band, Fathead, Johannes Linstead, Blue Room, Groove Corporation, and many others.
  • KEW GARDENS. July 24 to 25, 2010. Check the schedule for times. Performers include: Dan Hill, Blackburn, Sultans of String, Rockit 88 Band, and many others.

FREE Workshops include: Heather Bambrick’s Vocal Jazz Boot camp, Jazz Dance Salsa, Business of Jazz – Do it Yourself, Jazz Guitar and Arranging, Jazz Drumming and The Jazz Scene, Jazz Photography in the Digital Age, Ukulele Workshop, Jazz Dance – Merengue, Entertain Them or Get Off My Stage.

Woodbine Park is located at: Lakeshore Blvd. E. and Coxwell Ave. StreetFest is Located: along a 2 km. stretch from Woodbine Ave to Beech Ave. Kew Gardens is located: at the Boardwalk. Workshops are held at: Mennonite New Life Center (at Queen & Lark St).
